About Canonball

Built for readers who take reading seriously.

Canonball started as a frustration. Finding books available in both Kindle and Audible Whispersync format meant hunting across spreadsheets, Reddit threads, and outdated forum posts. There was no good tool for it. So we built one and kept going.

    Our mission

Make serious reading more accessible, more rewarding, and more social.

    What we have built

    Whispersync, finally surfaced

Amazon's Whispersync technology lets you flip between Kindle and Audible on the same book without losing your place. It is one of the best things in reading, and nearly impossible to discover which books actually support it. Canonball fixes that with a searchable, community-verified pairing database.

    Reading is a practice

Great readers are consistent readers. Canonball tracks your reading sessions, maintains streaks, and gives you a clear picture of your habits over time. What gets measured, gets done.

    Vocabulary from real books

Daily word sessions are built around vocabulary drawn from classic literary texts. Every word is shown alongside the original quote from the source book, so the context does the teaching rather than an abstract definition.

    Book clubs with real tools

Create a club, run a snake draft to set your reading calendar, coordinate schedules, and host wrap party quizzes built from community-submitted questions when the group finishes a book. Reading with a group that holds you accountable is better.

    Where we are

Canonball is in active development. The web app is live and free to use. Native iOS and Android apps are on the roadmap. We are a small team focused on building something genuinely useful for readers.

The Whispersync database is community-verified. If you spot a missing or incorrect pairing, you can submit a correction directly in the app.
